Mohanlal, Meera Jasmine win Kerala awards

The 28th annual Kerala state film awards were announced by culture minister M.A.Baby in Thiruvananthapuram today (April Cool morning.

Mohanlal has won the Best Actor award for his outstanding performance as Valiakathil Moosa in Paradesi. Meera Jasmine bagged the Best Actress for her sensitive portrayal of Deepthi a lonely housewife in Shayamaprasad’s off-beat Ore Kadal. M.G.Sasi is the Best Director for Adayalangal which has also been selected as the Best feature film. Kathaparayumbol got the popular award.

The second Best Actors are Murali and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy. Second Best Film is Ore Kadal. Best story is PT Kunjumohammed for Paradesi, Best cameraman- M.J.Radhakrishnan for Adayalangal. Best Music Director- M.Jayachandran (Nivedyam) , Background Score- Ouseppachan (Ore Kadal).

Best Lyrist- Rafiq Ahmed (Pranayakalam), Best Singer- Vijay Yesudas (Male)- (Nivedyam) and Best singer (Female)- Shwetha Mohan(Nivedyam), Best Editor- Vionod Sukumaran (Ore Kadal), Best sound TR.Krishnan Unni (Ottakaiyyan) , Best Art Director Rajasekharan (Naalu Pennungal), Best makeup Pattanam Rashid (Paradesi).
